Sibling Silly

All smiles holding a baby.
Tonight I took Charlie to a Sibling Silly class that they put on at the hospital. They teach siblings how to be a big brother or sister, and they give the kids a tour of the hospital so they know where Mom & Dad will be when they have the baby. Charlie did so good! The entire time he kept saying, "Where are the babies, Mom? Can we go see the babies?" When they opened the blinds on a window into the NICU, they showed the kids a baby. Charlie said, "I want to hold one!" He was pretty upset that he didn't get to hold a real baby. :) After the tour, each kid got to hold their own baby, and the teacher taught them how to ask an adult when they wanted to hold the baby, how to hold it correctly, and how to change a diaper. Charlie loved every minute of it. At the end they got a little bag of goodies and a certificate to show that they were ready to be a big brother or sister. It was so cool to see how excited Charlie was to be a big brother. The only problem now is that Charlie is ready for his baby sister to be here!

Graduating as a big brother!
