Christmas Celebration at NMU

On Wednesday NMU's campus had a few Christmas activities that my friend, Shannon, and I took the kiddos to. There was a horse & carriage ride, pictures with Santa, free snacks, hot chocolate and books. The carriage ride was nice because we stayed warm, but it was hard for the kids to enjoy because they couldn't see much. Charlie really liked the horses though. After the horse ride, we checked out Santa. Joe wanted to sit on his lap, but the line was huge (Charlie wanted nothing to do with him). After seeing Santa, we got a free little smoothie, had a cookie, and then picked out a book. After that, we took the kids for some dinner. This was probably a mistake because at that point the sugar had kicked in and the kiddos were wired! It was a nice little evening with Charlie's buddies, and it was nice to fill an evening while Pete was gone!
